Plumbing Services

Vasquez Plumbing provides residential and light-commercial service across Sonoma County. Each service below describes the typical scope and the situations where it is the right (or wrong) option.

Drain cleaning

Slow or stopped drains - kitchen, bath, floor, and mainline - cleared cleanly and checked for further trouble.

Slow drains usually start small - a kitchen sink that empties a little slower than it used to, a tub that leaves ankle-deep water during a shower. By the time most people call, the blockage is well past the trap.

Clearing a drain is the first job. Diagnosing why it backed up in the first place is the second. Hair, grease, scale, root intrusion, and partial mainline collapse all present similarly from the fixture side; the right next step depends on the cause.

Vasquez Plumbing clears single-fixture stoppages, branch lines, and mainlines. Cable machines (augers) and hydro-jetting are both available; the choice depends on pipe material and what is found when the line is opened.

Water heater service

Tank and tankless install, repair, and routine service for natural-gas and electric units.

Most replacements in Sonoma County are 40-gallon natural-gas tanks in a garage or exterior closet. Tankless is becoming more common on retrofits where the homeowner wants endless hot water and has the gas line to support it.

Repair work on existing units is priced on a diagnosis-first model - the technician identifies the failed component (usually a thermocouple, gas valve, or dip tube) before quoting the fix.

Heat-pump water heaters are available for customers with the electrical service and a willingness to consider the longer payback. Vasquez Plumbing installs and services all common residential types.

Leak detection

Pressure-testing, meter checks, and isolation to find slab and wall leaks without tearing into finished surfaces first.

Slab leaks - pipes that have failed under a concrete foundation - are the classic case where homeowners see a high water bill or a warm spot on the floor before they see any water at all.

Detection uses pressure testing, listening equipment, and sometimes thermal imaging to isolate the leak before any concrete is removed. Once located, the repair choice is between a spot fix and a complete reroute of the failing line.

Wall and ceiling leaks tend to surface as staining, sagging, or peeling paint. Tracing them back to the source usually means opening at least one access point to confirm; the goal is to minimize the finished-surface work after.

Sewer line work

Camera inspections, spot repairs, and full replacements when a main line is failing.

Older Sonoma County homes - particularly in Sebastopol and parts of Santa Rosa - have clay or concrete sewer laterals that were never designed to last 80+ years. Root intrusion and offset joints are the usual complaints.

The standard first step is a camera inspection, which gives a video record of the line condition and identifies the exact location and depth of any problems. Repairs range from a spot replacement of a single bad joint to a full pull-and-replace.

When a full replacement is necessary, Vasquez Plumbing pulls the required Sonoma County or city permit, schedules the inspection, and handles the sidewalk or driveway patch after the work is signed off.

Emergency calls

Burst pipes, sewage backups, no-water situations - answered 24 hours a day across the service area.

A burst pipe, an overflowing toilet, a water heater that has emptied itself across the garage floor - none of these happen at convenient hours.

Vasquez Plumbing maintains an on-call rotation across the service area. Calls to (707) 326-1440 after hours route to the on-call technician directly; there is no answering service in between.

Emergency response is prioritized by safety and damage risk, not by who called first. A sewage backup outranks a slow drain; an active leak outranks both.
